Chilitos wants everyone to be able to read the menu, find us and order, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, screen zoom or reduced-motion settings.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We check the site as it changes and fix problems when we find them.
How the site is built
- The full menu, with prices, is real text rather than pictures, so it can be read aloud, zoomed and translated.
- Every link and button works with a keyboard and shows a clear outline when it has focus.
- Screen readers hear the letter-board sign as whole words, not single letters.
- With reduced motion turned on, the sign’s bulbs stay still, the letters fade in instead of dropping, and the grill video doesn’t play.
- The grill video only plays on large screens, has no sound, and has a pause button.
- Every page has a Spanish version, linked from the Español button, with the page language set so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Pages fit phone screens and stay usable when text is enlarged.
Known limits
Online ordering happens on order.online, a page run by DoorDash. We can’t change how that page works. If it gives you trouble, call us and we’ll help.
The dish paintings are decorative. Each dish’s name, description and price are written out beside them.
Tell us what’s not working
If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need the menu in another format, call (541) 205-5898 or stop by 5531 South 6th Street, Klamath Falls. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we’ll do our best to help and fix it.
